An actor stands alone on a stage, spotlit, and with an expectant audience gazing at him. But he has no idea what his next line is, or even what play he’s in. And why isn’t he wearing his trousers? American absurdist Christopher Durang harnesses every thespian’s most dreaded night terror to deliriously silly comic effect, as hapless and increasingly desperate protagonist George is swept up in a crazy stampede through theatrical genres from Noel Coward to Shakespeare.
