GROUP 64 PRODUCTIONS

Group 64 is resident in Putney Arts Theatre, this means we are able to offer opportunities for young people to experience working on a professionally run production in addition to their classes. We offer young people the chance to act, direct, write, stage manage, design, produce and do just about anything and everything it takes to mount a theatre show! By involving members in every aspect of theatre making, we aim to not only provide them with a greater love of theatre but also offer life skills, such as budgeting and planning!

OUR SHOWS

SPRING

Our 7-11s take to the stage with our annual March show. Last year, they performed Charlie and the Chocolate Factory to packed out audiences every time! As one young member said "I don't want it to end!".

SUMMER

During June, we run a production in our newly refurbished studio. This is an opportunity for older members to explore more contemporary, experimental work. Our current production is Sparkleshark by Philip Ridley.

WINTER

Members age 12s and over+ produce Group 64s Christmas show. An annual family treat for all ages! Our last production was A Christmas Carol, featuring the largest turkey to ever take to this stage - the Christmas show is a great experience for cast and crew alike!

Our productions have included: Property of the Clan, Arabian Nights, The Forest Where Kit Went, Planet Phoenix, Marvellous Myths and Grimm Tales

Next term we will be producing Beauty and the Beast by Laurence Boswell. Contact us to find out how to get involved.
