Group 64 is a rapidly expanding community youth theatre in the heart of Putney, with over 250 members. We run drama and musical theatre classes for young people aged 4-19. In our classes we aim to create a safe environment in which young people can develop confidence, creativity and social skills through drama and performance. Our doors are open everyone – no experience necessary!
At Group 64 we aim to create a sense of belonging amongst our members, a place where they can feel they are truly part of something wonderful! By having such a vast age range we have older members mentoring and supporting younger members, through feeling welcome, safe in classes and confident in shows.
In this environment, we believe we can create outstanding and challenging productions in our very own Putney Arts Theatre. We also offer 'play in a week' holiday projects.
Group 64 is continually growing and developing, by collaborating and working with other local arts groups and theatres – these include Tara Arts, Emergency Exit Arts, The Royal Shakespeare Company and Epic Arts.

There is always a Saturday class on the last Saturday of half term, but not the first.
As we are lucky to be a part of a working theatre, occasionally we need to have our classes at a different venue, this is usually St Mary Church on Putney High Street, or Putney Library, Disraeli Road.
