Putney Theatre Company presents a new and exciting evening of short pieces by new writers to launch its new initiative to bring fresh new ideas to Putney Arts Theatre.
This first showcase has been produced by a company ensemble with all members reading and choosing the final pieces to be performed. Six of these are by local writers and the other two were devised in improvisation workshops by the company members.
To enhance this new drive, Barney Hart Dyke, PTC's Artistic Director and the show's Executive Director, has four new directors taking control of the pieces. "The last couple of years have seen us doing a wider range and greater number of productions. To remain dynamic and attract new audiences, we need more directors with a fresh perspective."
The pieces cover diverse topics including queuing, modern communication problems, job interviews and domestic abuse. Promising moments of both humour and darkness, this is a chance to see the talent of the future.
Some adult humour and offensive language is used in this production
